- Food Chains & Interdependence: identifying producers and consumers, arranging organisms in the correct food-chain order and understanding how plants and animals depend on one another for survival.
- Animals & Their Habitats: exploring adaptations, habitats and survival, including how barn owls are suited to catching small animals and how habitat loss can affect animal populations.
- Applying Scientific Knowledge: understanding how human activities such as using chemicals on trees and removing natural habitats can affect organisms and food chains.
Question types include: true or false, matching, fill-in-the-blanks, diagram labelling, life cycles, food-chain interpretation, short-answer questions and longer application responses.
