Help your Grade 4 learner prepare for the Term 2 June assessment with this 40-mark English First Additional Language practice test, complete with a full memorandum.
The test includes:
- Reading Comprehension – 15 marks: a dialogue-based comprehension assessing understanding, inference, opinions, nouns, adjectives, conjunctions and sentence types.
- Visual Text – 10 marks: interpreting a bar graph and a school sports-day advertisement, including extracting information, comparing data and interpreting visual features.
- Summary Writing – 5 marks: summarising the rules of netball into a short paragraph of five full sentences.
- Language – 10 marks: past and future tense, direct speech, punctuation, uncountable nouns, synonyms, transitive verbs, finite and infinitive verbs, and personification.
